Saturday night in Austin, Texas turned out bloody as one person was killed in a shooting at a Black Lives Matter “BLM” protests in Downtown Austin near Congress Avenue and Fourth Street.
The protesters had gathered in downtown Austin in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement when shots rang out Saturday night.
A clip of the scene shared online showed protesters marching through the streets and shouting “Black Lives Matter” and waving banners reading “BLM”. Seconds later, five shots are fired and the video loses focus as protesters scream and run for cover in downtown Austin
Police in Texas confirmed a man was shot and killed at 9:52pm. Austin senior Police Officer Katrina Ratcliff said the person who shot and killed the man had fired from inside a vehicle.
